From the east side of Mt. Etna we reach the Mt Fontana (1280 m.) to admire “Valle del Bove” the most important geological site of Mt.Etna. Visit of a lava tunnel with torch and helmet, trekking across Sartorius Craters walking in breathtaking surroundings. Crossing the lava flows of the eruption of 2002.

Break for pic nic. Continuing through the Pinewood of Linguaglossa. From there, on towards Castiglione di Sicilia and the Alcantara River Park to visit the fantastic basalt columns of the Gorges to do a short river trekking.
